Will those 4 oz Pet Ag bottles work or will they be too small for these growing kids? The feed store was out of the Pritchard nipples and the black stretchy nipples so I picked up a Pet Ag bottle but am thinking it may be too small. I just lost another sweet and great egg layer to my Stafford shire Terrior mix. The hens are fenced, but one happen to fly over and be loose running around. After I closed the coop door for the night, I didn't know one hadn't already gone in. After letting my dog go potty, I was unaware that she had tracked down the hen outside the fence.
I was ready to ask my husband to take her out on some road and shoot her. She was a rescue dog and has a hatred and fear of men, so I didn't want to take her back to a shelter just so she'd get adopted by another abusive man who wanted a good watchdog. I thought of euthanizing her also, but that costs money. So my next idea was to just shoot her and bury her. She loves me to pieces and is so happy to see me come home just when I've been out for an hour or less. I do love her, and after reading everything you said, it all makes sense, and I will keep her.
I'm sorry if I sound like a man hater; I'm not. Its just that she growls at the sound of a man's foice; you can't even pick up a fly swatter to hit a fly without her going into hiding. I just lost one of my favorite hens, so I'm a bit emotional. I don't mean to offend anyone by anything I've said.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15062648697598628357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7789865586418282697.post-26926665091930161832018-01-25T14:07:06.909-05:002018-01-25T14:07:06.909-05:00OMG I just did this with my nanny goat and she'...OMG I just did this with my nanny goat and she's pregnant-she didn't. California? I am there now and yes we sure can garden all year. It has its downs. Bugs don't die out as no freezing etc. Garden work all year..droughts..but they are all over the country. I will never though stop missing Ohio and my people. You can feel close anywhere but I have never felt as close in a community as I did back there. I wish the best for you and hope you find the place for you to live and thrive.
We lost our Good and Faithful dog several years back. He was our special special dog. We will miss him forever. God blessed us with him and we are so glad to have had him for as long as we did. I hope you have found some peace.
Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your life for so long. From your weather reports and such it sounded like you lived in Ohio close to where I used to live and still have friends there. It felt like I was hearing from a neighbor when I read your passages.
I am wishing you love and happiness in our new life.
