The best thing to do (I can't believe I'm daring to give YOU advice) is to get some new keets and have your chickens raise them. That way they get good free range foraging lessons and by the time they discover they are guineas they have learned to live in the coop (or surrounding area) and stay close to home.Chai Chaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05845100961653150736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7789865586418282697.post-91727672059388708782012-12-06T12:22:31.366-05:002012-12-06T12:22:31.366-05:00Sorry to hear about your guinea. I threw open the door and a weasel stood up and growled at me. He was about 15 inches long.

Thankfully I had my .45 on my hip. It took all 14 shots, but the last one got him.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-6bGgBuw1S-Q/UMDF_2JF22I/AAAAAAAAois/quBnriW-3Is/w497-h373/IMG_20120522_181404.jpg

Ugly critters.Aaron C. de Bruynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04898305272010592221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7789865586418282697.post-69868691923233747632012-12-06T11:08:13.085-05:002012-12-06T11:08:13.085-05:00Minks are nasty. I think the chickens hate them but are afraid of them. When he lost the last of his two lady friends to a dog (both had insisted on sitting on a clutch of eggs outside of our fence) he was sad and lost for a while. Then he fell in love with two new hens. One was a black and white chicken and the other was his own reflection in our basement windows.freemotionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10129588842227646172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7789865586418282697.post-89045498956393944212012-12-06T07:11:31.392-05:002012-12-06T07:11:31.392-05:00Hope the dogs get 'em.
