The smell of frying bacon is just wonderful. That pig must have been well fed: it certainly built up a good layer of fat.Mark Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04558305122821209520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7789865586418282697.post-40812209495170545622013-04-13T16:09:28.014-04:002013-04-13T16:09:28.014-04:00Now that's what I call Bacon. I trad...I just fried bacon in my cast iron skillet. I traded a mix of ground oats/barley/clover/alfalfa hay/ peas and a little soy meal to my neighbor for a pig. It was a black and white, old breed and really fat. There is an inch of bacon grease in the pan. I poured it into a tin and it is as white as snow. Don't have a clue what to do with it.
Next in the skillet were pancakes. My daughter had a sleep-over. Four girls in a tent in the hay shed. Kept them out of the rain and the giggles away from the house.
Can't decide if I should use the air-horn or a roll of firecrackers to wake them up.buddeshepherdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10747323705664619491noreply@blogger.com
