The puppy was adorable today...
The dogwoods are about to bloom...
The winter rye that I planted last fall is springing right up...
And there was a lot of cluckin' around.
Happy Thursday everyone!
Here in The Good Land I made my place beside the still waters. I became a tiller of the soil, a keeper of the flocks, and a hater of pigs.

Oh yes, we work outside all day, it was great being back out there!
Happy Thursday to you too.
Kai looks so adorable! You have quite the flock of chickens- how many do you have?
Happy Thursday. Glad to hear you are having some nice weather. That rye is so green, I will have to try growing some for a cover crop one of these years.
hi Niece! And yes I'm thrilled to be outside again!
Thanks David! Hey has everyone seen David's new blog update? It looks great - and he's always cooking something wonderful. Check it out:

I don't have any idea, Autumn! We stopped counting a while ago.. so I dunno... maybe 40 or 50? Yikes!
Good Morning, Mr H! I was thinking of you yesterday when I was seeing the new green growth. Its hitting it stride and the geese cant even eat it fast enough to keep it mowed down. You cant stop spring once it starts!
Wow! those chickens are blowing me away! there are so many of them :o) I'm just imagining them all kinds of ways stuffed, broiled, stewed wtih dumplings , fried, and lots of chicken salad :o) ...You lucky girl you :o(
Ginny who ain't got no chickens :o( and can't have no chickens :o( I hate my HOA :o(
Ain't the weather great?
We got our teenage chicks outside yesterday. Our kitchen is quieter. (Of course we have like 13 more inside)
Kai is so pretty! It's wonderful you're enjoying such nice weather. The chickens look especially happy about it.
Your clucks are beautiful! I remember you once saying that you had only black and white livestock but I see that's not entirely true. :) I especially like those two roos with the white "saddles", what breed are they? And how many roos do you have per hens?
Aren't they amazing, Ginny? The clucks are the best part of my day!
Naomi - soon they will be all outside. We have chicks in the house also - quite an adventure with all these cats!
Thanks B2B, we are just smitten with her little puppy self. And the hens are in heaven with the sunshine. Everyone is happy!
Hey SSF! Hee hee hee sometimes I forget about the red hens. One of the roos is a Salmon Favorelle - thats Mr. Tibbles. I love him. The other one is Blue Roo - you can see him here:

He's just a mutt but he has spectacular coloring.
love the cluckers!
I wish I could remember whose blog it was that I was reading -maybe razzberry??- but she was feeding her chickies yoghurt and muesli. I have been feeding mine porridge every second week or so and they just love it!! Fat as anything! Do you remember whose blog it might have been? (the yoghurt feeding) lol I want to thank her
No SubFG, I don't remember..but I LOVE Razzberry! Don't you!? Yay!
