Totally an inappropriate use of a water trough.... but hey! I got the pigz moved into their new yard. The electric worked and everything! And they are still in the new yard so I guess it's a win. More on the move to the new yard later.

You might want to dig them a mud hole. They seem to be having a good time.
Pigs love a wallow. They can't sweat other than through their nose, so they use it to cool off. They also coat themselves with mud from the wallow to keep the insects from biting. If you don't create them one then they will knock over their water if possible to create one themselves. Or they will climb in like yours did :)

I am guessing your pigs are trying to stay cool. Since they cannot sweat they have decided on a swim instead.
Maybe put in a kiddie pool?

hi Keith! thanks for stopping by. yep this was their first few hours in the new yard - they were working on a mud spot but i think they liked the tub better.
*OFG hands WCG a pig...* here you go! ha! this really is the funniest group we've had.
I think its all shenanigans, Vera! later on they'd run from the mud pit back to the tub and rinse off. foolishness!

hey Nancy! they are digging themselves a new wallow. i think i emptied and refilled that tub 3 or 4 times yesterday. *sigh* pigz.
