Did everyone have a happy new year? We have a pork roast and kraut in the oven, brought a load of straw home and got it stacked in the garage, and are sitting around watching all the dogs and cats take naps. I'd say we are off to a roaring start.
And then there is this.
Ah the goat. Majestic animal revered, pride of the barnyard, and smooched on the lips by many....
Not by me. Have you ever seen anything more ridiculous?
I have a feeling that 2013 is not going to be the year that I fall desparately in love with the goats. I think I'm going to just keep pining away from a cow....who would never do anything like this.
Oh golly Dahli, you are a pip for sure.
Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Very majestic! Made me think of this of course:

Someone wants to be included in the storyline it seems....
LOL! Silly goats. I loved going to my folks for Christmas and going out with Dad to feed his cows. They certainly don't do anything ridiculous like that!
We had pumpkin pie for breakfast, some beef and mushroom soup for dinner, and just put together a huge pot of chicken soup.
Happy New Year to you and your gang! I have no doubt it's going to be smashing!
I just know that 2013 is the year you're going to turn into a goat-snuggler... Ok, maybe not, but I can dream.
I hate to burst your bubble about cattle being not ridiculous, but if I remember, I will send you a photo of a steer eating a tree. I think if he could have got up on his back legs he would have. They usually try to knock down the tree first. Lately our little dexter bull has been taking on a large termite mound, its about the same size as him, so at least its a fair fight. Of course the cows are far more sensible and mature and never do anything silly. The other day we fed Bella good lucerne (alfalfa) hay and she just left most of as it wasn't good enough for her picky tastes. One of the other cattle ended up eating it. Bella knows where the good food is (my vege garden) and will pretend to just eat the grass around it until she gets a chance to reach in and pull out all the beans. I hope you do get a cow though, they are lots of fun :)
Happy New Year OFG! I hope you enjoyed that pork and kraut!
I dunno, I think, it is rather charmng she will dance for her dinner!
Best wishes to you and your family too!
