Ohiofarmgirl's Adventures in The Good Land is largely a fish out of water tale about how I eventually found my footing on a small farm in an Amish town. We are a mostly organic, somewhat self sufficient, sustainable farm in Ohio. There's action and adventure and I'll always tell you the truth about farming.

Hee hee! It was just like milking a goat... only better
;-)

The great news is that while I was off "cheating" on the goats, The Big Man was home milking our ladies... even Little Nibbles! With his huge ham-sized hands he said that neither of them were happy when it was over.. but he got the job done.

It as never the way she planned...not her intention.

We could put alot of new, interesting lyrics to that song. Ahem...
I milked a cow and I liked it. I hope my old goats don't mind it...

It seems you have lived one of your fantasy's. The poor goats will only notice the far off look in your eyes that replaced the sparkle once reserved only for them (and unknownst to them the Meeps) and wonder what happened to their OFG.

Twow old sayings come to mind; "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free", and "A goat (teet) in the hand is worth two in the bush." I'm not exactly sure how they apply but they seem to go with the theme of the original post.

The goats will never know.. unless they go thru my pockets or check my phone for calls to Daisy..the Jersey girl of my dreams....

Me sitting on the milking bucket, thinking to self:
"Holy Cow! Them there is four teats!"

(thats right, TEATS not tits.. i got some class, ya know. who am i kidding, i call 'em wanglies)
