Ohiofarmgirl's Adventures in The Good Land is largely a fish out of water tale about how I eventually found my footing on a small farm in an Amish town. We are a mostly organic, somewhat self sufficient, sustainable farm in Ohio. There's action and adventure and I'll always tell you the truth about farming.

Oh, how cute!! Were they soaking up the sunlight coming in the window?

Hi Robin and yep! Th kitchen gets only afternoon sun and the cats form little puddles in the warm light.

LOL, what made them sleep between the mixers? That's so cute!

Cats sleeping on the counter? When the Big Man is away....

Hi Lisa and welcome! What do I use them for? Everything really. We inherited one from our grandma who was a wonderful cook. One is mostly for meat grinding and the other I use for baking several times a week.

Hi Mr H! Nicholas was named after my trip to Russia - for the czar of course and because I was reading a Nicholas Sparks novel. It was awful no running battles, swashbuckling, and no warfare of any kind. Just a lot of crying and lovey dovey stuff. Little Mo was named after a ruckus nite of drinking. My hubby chose a literary name (Moby for the whale) and I chose Obediah as I tend toward Old Testament names. We think we are hilarious.

CC- We have cats everywhere and gave up trying to herd them a long time ago. When I start cooking I just hose everything off and start fresh. And yes, cat hair makes everything taste better.
