The other day I gave the little pigz a bunch of frozen hard boiled eggs. They gave themselves brain freeze, that's what all the squealing is about.
Hey you pigz! Just don't eat them so fast!

nope! the shells are actually good calcium. we just take up the eggs, put em in a huge pot, boil 'em up good, and there you go. no fancy timing them or dunking in cold water or anything. the eggs from this day were frozen because i made them back in feb/march when we had just too many eggs. i cooked them, froze them, and then on a hot day they were well received. its a great way to use your barnyard resources.
one thing tho - hogs will eat raw eggs but its better if you cook them first. the eggs contain a protein inhibitor so if you feed them raw you're just working against yourself.
