Ohiofarmgirl's Adventures in The Good Land is largely a fish out of water tale about how I eventually found my footing on a small farm in an Amish town. We are a mostly organic, somewhat self sufficient, sustainable farm in Ohio. There's action and adventure and I'll always tell you the truth about farming.

The County Fair

We went to the closest county fair, its one of the last of the season. I just love this part of the country. You can get anything batter-dipped and deep fried, then go next door to the "Prayer Request" booth, and then order gravel for your drive and get a new tractor.

This is what it looks like...

Have a great day everyone!

I have no excuses, but I haven't been to the fair in years........we always say we are going to go, and then other stuff comes up and we don't make it to even one all season.

Thats what i'm talkin' about! We went to this vendor because he had "buckeye" funnel cakes - a funnel cake drizzled with with peanut butter and chocolate toppings.. and then dusted with powdered sugar. It was heavenly....

And fried oreos are pretty good.. we didn't have the stamina for the pumpkin one.. but maybe next time!
