Ohiofarmgirl's Adventures in The Good Land is largely a fish out of water tale about how I eventually found my footing on a small farm in an Amish town. We are a mostly organic, somewhat self sufficient, sustainable farm in Ohio. There's action and adventure and I'll always tell you the truth about farming.

No, no gravel for me today...are you putting down a driveway? I love the sound it makes when you drive over gravel....I would love to have a country yard with a gravel drivway...It really doesn't take much to make me happy at all...take care and don't work to hard....

Nope. Still shoveling horse poop and chicken poop. I would rather shovel gravel any day. Have fun!

Did that last week, don't want to do it again anytime soon. Good luck.

My sand and gravels are normally delivered by the supplier's lorry.

I pick, a small shovel at a time, when I need to use them. This old back can't do much more than that I'm afraid.

Happy Tuesday and a productive week ahead, pal.

Nice red truck, btw.

Ginny, my youth and strength failed me entirely! But I'm back now.

Hi Faith, nope the gravel is to try and deal with all the mud. Its a nightmare for all.

Ian - the gravel completely defeated me... I wrenched my back. But I'm back in action. Luckily there is plenty of shoveling to go around.

Thanks Kristin, we are all in the mud-poop-soup for sure.

Robin - how have you escaped all this mud madness? We cant get anything planted.

Farmer - now you're just showin' off! Hee hee oh how I wish I had a loader... for sure.

Grandpa - I try and make lots of small trips with the gravel. But there is a lot of work! And yep, I love my truck.

Thanks Mr. H! I'm so glad I can watch now!
