Here in The Good Land I made my place beside the still waters. I became a tiller of the soil, a keeper of the flocks, and a hater of pigs.
Ohiofarmgirl's Adventures in The Good Land is largely a fish out of water tale about how I eventually found my footing on a small farm in an Amish town. We are a mostly organic, somewhat self sufficient, sustainable farm in Ohio. There's action and adventure and I'll always tell you the truth about farming.
Awww, so cute!!! My old man dog, Gunnar, used to LOVE snow and would plow his face in it. His favorite game was to dash by me and pause while I kicked fluffy snow in his face...he'd hop around joyfully then dash around the yard, coming back for more. Now we just do a little fluff for old times' sake. I love playing with snow puppies!!
Is there anything better than dog snowface? Ginger and Ellie like to run 100 miles an hour and scoop it up with their mouths......of course we haven't seen any real snow yet here in central Montana!
Sophie is the same way. She loves winter. I love to watch her bounding through tall snow drifts. She makes me feel like a kid (until I run a few feet)...
In my previous life I was a fussy, type-a tech gal..and now.. now here I am in the flyover zone on a farm. I gave up my Big Life and I became a tiller of the soil, a keeper of the flocks, and a hater of pigs.

Goat babies do the exact same thing the first time they get out and about with snow.
Happy Wednesday!
Holy cow. How is he that big already?!
Zander is really growing, and Snow! I almost forgot about Snow living in NC, but today it was as cold as a witches tit. :o(

An awesome display of ear muscles or are they frozen in the up position?
