Ohiofarmgirl's Adventures in The Good Land is largely a fish out of water tale about how I eventually found my footing on a small farm in an Amish town. We are a mostly organic, somewhat self sufficient, sustainable farm in Ohio. There's action and adventure and I'll always tell you the truth about farming.

Cat Rack

Improves gas mileage and allows you to haul your felines anywhere you want to go! Its the new Cat Rack! A "must" for all crazy cat people who's feline count has passed maximum cat-pacity!

Note: no cats were actually driven around using the new Cat Rack. This is just what we found this morning....  That's Shine our King of Barncats and the elusive Bobbi.

Happy Saturday everyone!  Holy cow - can you believe its September!?!!

I hear the catracks are good passive solar collectors also.

Whew! When I saw the title of this post I was thinking that it was going to be NSFW! You know, one of the posse exposing themselves in one of the "on their back" pictures....

CUTE! I was looking forward to getting a barn cat, but now that we have a large snake living in the hay shed, I think he's taking care of the mice for us, so I still can't justify getting a cat.... oh well just lots of dogs instead.

Funny thing about barn cats. We took one into our house about 6 years ago. She's been a great house cat! Recently though, she's been randomly urinating on things. So we're sending her back outside. She's a great mouser and very strong. She doesn't like it much, but we think she can handle it. It's in her blood! We'll make a nice shelter for her that's warm and safe from other varmints. It will have to do.

Carolyn, you are just right. if i could harness all the enerygy absorbed by this lazy cats i'd be a billionare!

Nancy - i laughed.. um.. the truck is really small. hee hee hee.

Stacy you need TWO! or more.. the more the merrier we say!

Chai Chai.. i would have never ever thought of that! ha! oh golly...

Dave, nary a problem with our poultry. for whatever reason the barncats dont bother the hens nor the babies. but to be fair, ducks and clucks are all mean muthas... the cats are a little afraid of the mommas and their babies.

Farmer Liz, a good barncat is worth his weight in GOLD! and we dont have any problems with the dogs and barncats. might be worth a look.

thanks for the reply, Jody and i hope you get your kitty all fixed up!
