Ohiofarmgirl's Adventures in The Good Land is largely a fish out of water tale about how I eventually found my footing on a small farm in an Amish town. We are a mostly organic, somewhat self sufficient, sustainable farm in Ohio. There's action and adventure and I'll always tell you the truth about farming.

Nibbles

There she is....

Nibbles. Large and in charge.  Can you believe she still has about three more weeks until her babies are due?!

Congrats to my pal "J" who's doe just had some stunning kids!

Any body else got babies on the ground?  Happy Monday!

No kids on the ground....although we SHOULD :( I think our does breeding last fall didn't take. She was supposed to kid today, but no signs at all. Hopefully the other doe took, otherwise it's going to be a LONG year without milk!

Only if it counts that I just bought to bottle baby boys on Friday and they were born the Friday just before that. Also I just found a bred doe that I will be picking up on Wednesday I was told should kid in May. I am so excited!!!!!

Nibbles looks so adorilby and uncomfortably big! I don't know that much about progo girls yet but even I would say either she has three in there or she has the Jolly Green Giant in there!

Wow, and I thought our mini-Mancha looked big! Shaasta doesn't have anything on Nibbles. We finished the birthing stall last night. I'm getting very excited!

Maybe she just has short legs? I can't ever get over the no ears thing your goats have (or don't have?).

One of these days, after we get the yard ready, we're going to ask for one of those kids.

Carolyn, we are thinking the same thing - not sure if Debbie is or is not. dang!

Hi HFM! Great work on the goaties!I hope its not one huge baby!

Tina, she looks bigger in real life, can you believe it?

Hi Becky! hopefully she'll last the whole time - I dont want early babies.

JJJ - Nibs know how to work her best angles to show how huge she is.

CC - they say this way you concentrate on their lovely eyes. ha! One of my pals says Nibbles looks like a toad!

Jodi, these are gonna be some cute babies for sure.
