Ohiofarmgirl's Adventures in The Good Land is largely a fish out of water tale about how I eventually found my footing on a small farm in an Amish town. We are a mostly organic, somewhat self sufficient, sustainable farm in Ohio. There's action and adventure and I'll always tell you the truth about farming.

Too Short

Firmly under the heading of "never say never"...... meet our new buckling.

Too Short is in the house.  Let the goat pimpin' commence.

More on this later. I'm headed out to watch the shameless antics of my the "dairy ladies of ill repute."

Hope you're having a great weekend!

He is a handsome fellow and looks like he may be a Nigerian Dwarf?

Who is going to be his buddy? Are you going to house him down wind?

Hey CC! Yep! He's an ND. Doesnt he have great coloring? Kai wants to be his "buddy" so bad... she tasted... I mean... "licked" him earlier. He's just gonna run with the gals until his "chores" are done. Then I got a sucker lined up to take him just as soon as he's done. I'll have all the details tomorrow. We drove all over the state today and are totally wiped out.

He looks like one Happy Fella! I guess he knows it going to be hay day!

Did you pour yourself a cold brew or adult beverage to watch all the goings on??

I think you've got a good deal going there, use 'em and pawn 'em off on some unsuspecting twit, I mean, keeper of goats. Our NG buck smells SOOOOOO frekking bad right now.

I think he's just adorable! Expect some super-duper cute kids this coming year, I would say.

Lovely boy. I want goats! I have sheep and horses, but I just spent $40 on dairy products....and all that grass and brush out there just calling for few good goats.

He's very handsome. I went this weekend to pick up doe number 3 and pet one of the bucks. I'm still trying to get the smell off my hand. I may have to cut it off.... LOL, that's a great idea to just keep him 'til he does the deed, and he is definitely a looker.

Robin - I've already had an eyefull. Sheesh!

Jody - He thinks he's hit the jackpot for sure.

Carolyn - Dontcha mean 'brown chicken, brown cow'?!? ha!

Autumn - he's gonna throw beautiful babies for sure. Especially with Nibbles.

Ginny - I think they call him a 'paint' or they call him a "flashy" buck with those markings.

Ann - we are hustling him right out the door for sure. There are a lot of bucks available around here.

NancyDe - Just think what they could do with all that lush greenery you have! And yes, in your neck of the world the savings would be tremendous.

Thanks, Samantha! Isnt he something?

Mary Ann - I just wish he wasnt a stinky doll!

JJJ - that could be your only option. Yuck! I'm gonna only wear one set of clothes around the goats for a while. Something I can bleach. Ick!

Dave - he's got mojo alright! ha!
